The
KAY Family Association UK was formed in the summer of 1998
by a small group of dedicated Kay family history researchers.
It had been recognised for some time that there were many
Kay researchers working on their own who would benefit by
being able to communicate with other like minded workers.
The aim of the Association is to encourage study of the
history of the Kay family in the UK and to provide a focus
for members seeking information. We are working towards
entering our members records into a computerised database
which we can use to help members to search further back.
Our founder President is Lord Shuttleworth JP, the present
Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire, who has Kay ancestral connections.
